    On-Site location: 800 2nd Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL

    Summary:  UPC needs an IT Contract Recruiter to assist with recruiting a significant number of top IT performers.  We anticipate the length of contract will be approximately six months.  The IT Contractor recruiter will ensure that the best possible talent will be hired through a partnership with business leaders and be responsible for the full life-cycle of talent acquisition activities including sourcing, searching/screening, talent pipeline development, and orienting successful candidates to UPC Insurance.


    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Partner with hiring manager to deliver recruitment services including consulting with hiring managers to identify needs, develop sourcing strategies, screen candidates, set interviews and prepare offer letters.
    • Support candidates through all stages of the application process.
    • Effectively convey UPC core values and culture
    • Provide excellent service to internal customers, i.e. hiring managers as well as job candidates.
    • Directly recruit passive candidates to ensure applicant flow
    • Provide quality reporting and analysis to support decision making.
    • Manage external postings to generate viable candidates who meet job qualifications and cultural standards
    • Ensure that company compliance and hiring guidelines are followed.
    • Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory updates as they relate to talent acquisition.
    • Performs other work assignments, as required.


    Required Skills:

    • Detailed knowledge of recruiting policies, practices and applicable laws
    • Strong knowledge of Applicant Tracking System software. iCIMS knowledge preferred but not required.
    • Three or more years’ experience successfully recruiting for IT positions.
    • Property insurance experience preferred but not required. 

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of five years of recruiting education and work experience.
    • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
