  • Overview

    Summary: This position will manage a team of developers, business analysts, production support specialists and quality assurance analysts that build integrations between our systems and with 3rd party systems utilizing MuleSoft. The position reports to the Director of Application Development and is accountable for delivering integrations with MuleSoft, in line with strategic business objectives and priorities.  The position also operates as the Scrum Master for the Integrations team and facilitates adherence to an Agile/Scrum methodology for project execution. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills, hands-on technical capabilities, and a knack for effectively managing technology to meet business goals.


    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Manage a team of developers, quality assurance, production support and business analysts. This includes hiring, interviewing and selecting the appropriate team that will meet development goals and business objectives.
    • Manage an Agile/Scrum Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including implementation of appropriate requirements, prioritization of tasks, change management, quality assurance and system support.
    • Work with business staff to identify and document business requirements for development projects to ensure development meets or exceeds customer requirements.
    • Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review and design of MuleSoft integrations, including technical review and analysis of source code. Lead reviews of in-house developed code, as well as technologies provided by 3rd party vendors.
    • Facilitate and lead daily scrums, user stories, sprint planning and sprint reviews.
    • Track the sprints and provide regular communication to management about the progress, risk, and changes to the sprint scope and schedule.
    • Implement an effective system of project governance and create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
    • Delve into complicated issues of production delivery, conduct root cause analysis, devise a solution and execute through required steps necessary in order to successfully deliver.
    • Conduct post-project review to discuss and document successes and lessons-learned for future projects.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Lead diverse product development teams including software developers, production support specialists, business analysts and quality assurance analysts.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels.
    • Create and review technical designs for large and complex features.
    • Conduct code reviews for performance, standards, and quality.
    • Help recruit and retain IT talent, both local to the corporate office and remote/offshore.



    • Strong breadth of knowledge in modern software technologies, including, but not limited to Java, .Net and MuleSoft and understand and practiced established development standards and best practices.
    • Strong project management and team management skills e.g. planning, budgetary control, people management etc.
    • Passion to lead successful team efforts and projects exceeding expectations.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing and leading teams.
    • Bachelor’s Degree required, in IT-related area preferred.
    • Must be currently eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
